WHAT WILL YOU DO
Working closely with the General Manager, Terminal Operations, you will coordinate all terminal operation activities, project planning and support the day-of delivery team. WHATS THE TEAM LIKE
Our Terminal Operations team collaborates with multiple business units, tenants, airlines, and other stakeholders within the airport community to ensure that our passengers at YYC have a seamless and positive airport experience.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the development of passenger programs included but not limited to:
- New operational programs
- Contractor Programs
- Passenger Flow and Signage
- Irregular and Emergency Terminal Response Programs
- Develop gap analysis for current programs against future desired state
- Develop relationships and collaborate with Authority staff, volunteers, contractors to identifies needs and trends related to the Terminal Operations Programs
- Review and advise in new and updating operational documentation in support of these programs
- Observe and/or audit program delivery from frontline and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and advancement of passenger experience; provide findings and recommendations to program owners
- Observe, solicit and receive feedback from TOS, volunteer and contract frontline workers and others in the Airport Community to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and advancement of the Terminal Operations experience; provide recommendations to General Manager.
- Assist with the implementation and enhancements to programs as a result of a procedural, regulatory or project change.
- Participate in project meetings as a representative of the Terminal Operations Team
- Provide subject matter expertise on the impact of projects to the Terminal Operations Programs
- Coordinate multiple projects at once across all departmental areas
- Develop the requirements for IROP supplies and program to manage inventory
- Coordinate the restocking of used inventory and supplies; alert supply chain issues to manager as required
- Review, update policies and procedures to develop training content for contract and internal programs.
- Collaborate with internal teams and contract managers to ensure that required training is delivered to all staff to align with YYC expectations, Guest Experience, Terminal Operations processes and/or contract deliverables.
- Deliver training and or coordinate the delivery as it pertains to Terminal Operations for contract and internal teams. EI: Net tracer, YYC Express
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING
- The ability to gain and maintain a RAIC (RAIC Program and Application Information)
- Post secondary diploma or degree in a related field such as aviation, business administration, analytics or a related discipline is preferred. Alternatively, a high school diploma combined with relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in coordinating complex operations, preferably in airport operations, or a similarly regulated, operational environment. This includes managing operational workflows, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and coordinating personnel and equipment across multiple functions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written communication as well as experience in preparing, analyzing and presenting statistical data.
- Experience in preparing schedules, memos and briefing notes.
- Ability to read floor plans and interpret written procedures and other operational documentation.
- Good understanding of aviation industry and airline operating procedures as they relate to airport operations.
- Experience in coordinating projects, including developing project plans to track and communicate the status of activities.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to deal with multiple projects simultaneously.
- Advanced knowledge in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAM’s)
- Strong attention to detail.
WHAT OPTIONAL ELEMENTS SUPPORT YOUR APPLICATION (all are assets)
- Bilingual in English or French
- Strong knowledge base in the area of airport operations, systems and management is an asset.
- Familiarity with the demands of security, safety and maintenance on airport operations is considered an asset.
