WHAT WILL YOU DO

Reporting to the General Manager, Real Estate Development, the Coordinator, Real Estate Development will coordinate project activities related to planning, development, marketing and leasing to support the Real Estate Development team to deliver on its mandate and business objectives in a strategic and organized manner. The Coordinator, Real Estate Development will provide operational oversight and ensure timelines, budgets and deliverables are being met for specific tasks and projects.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assisting in the planning, development, execution, and coordination of real estate development projects including:
    • Coordinating the development and procurement of reports, studies, and data to facilitate and inform the development of plans, proformas, approvals, sales, and leases.
    • Coordinating projects ensuring organization of data, stakeholders and schedules.
    • Updating and maintaining project data in Oracle, Procore and other software as required.
    • Supporting project set up and independently manage specific scopes or elements of projects.
    • Ensuring proper tracking and documentation is in place to allow performance tracking (i.e.

budgets, timelines, deliverables).

    • Assisting with advocacy initiatives with government stakeholders and the real estate community at large.
    • Interfacing with consultants, internal and external stakeholders, and providing clear, well-articulated proposals and solution orientations recommendations.
  • Supporting department initiatives and strategy related to marketing lands for lease at YYC and YBW:
    • Creating awareness of our brand and business in the development and leasing community
    • Working cross-functionally with other departments (i.e., Communications, SDS, Commercial Services) to create, procure and manage marketing media for real estate (i.e., brochures, signage, websites, social, sponsorships/advertising, etc)
    • Organizing exhibit booths for conferences, trade shows.
    • Identifying marketing opportunities and fostering partnerships
    • Managing marketing campaigns and budgets
    • Understanding and staying up to date on current market trends
  • Assisting in delivering an exceptional standard of customer service to existing and prospective tenants, including:
    • Supporting the leasing team with requests requiring cross functional technical expertise and providing primary tenant support through the development approval process at the Airport and the City.
    • Creating and managing content for tenant communications, newsletters, etc.
    • Assisting with issue resolution with internal departments (i.e., environmental, Civil, etc.). on development and tenant issues related to real estate.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING

  • The ability to gain and maintain a RAIC (RAIC Program and Application Information)
  • Post-secondary education in real estate, business or other relevant field, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in real estate development.
  • Ability to support complex policy, land development and real estate development tasks.
  • Knowledge of urban planning, civil engineering, and construction principles.
  • Knowledge and background with marketing real estate.
  • Ability to project management across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Highly effective in building and maintaining relationships.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.

WHAT OPTIONAL ELEMENTS SUPPORT YOUR APPLICATION (all are assets)

  • Industrial/Commercial real estate development experience would be an asset.
  • Experience in an airport or aviation environment is an asset.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud would be an asset.
