We"re looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team on a 2-year term supporting some of Calgary Airports" most significant infrastructure and capital projects. In this role, you"ll partner closely with the project teams delivering airport improvements and expansions, helping leaders navigate workforce planning, organizational change, employee relations, and people strategies that support project success. This role is ideal for an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys working in dynamic environments, leading through change, and partnering with leaders to support evolving teams and business priorities.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide dedicated HR Business Partner support to leaders and teams responsible for delivering Calgary Airports" infrastructure, capital, and special project initiatives.
  • Partner with project leaders, sponsors, and business leaders to develop people strategies that support project delivery, workforce readiness, and organizational objectives.
  • Lead workforce planning activities, including forecasting resource needs, identifying skills gaps, and supporting evolving workforce requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and support change management initiatives associated with major projects and organizational changes, helping leaders navigate workforce impacts, organizational transitions, and employee adoption.
  • Coach leaders through complex people matters, organizational change, ambiguity, and transformation initiatives.
  • Provide strategic advice and support on employee and labour relations matters, including performance management, role changes, workforce transitions, organizational restructuring, and grievances.
  • Use workforce data and analytics to support planning, decision-making, and risk mitigation.
  • Partner with leaders and HR colleagues to implement programs and initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness and support successful project outcomes.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING

  • 4+ years’ experience working as a Human Resources Business Partner.
  • Bachelor"s degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Additional years of experience in lieu of education may be considered.
  • Experience supporting large-scale projects, transformation initiatives, capital programs, or complex cross-functional business initiatives.
  • Experience aligning people strategies with business, project, and operational priorities.
  • Experience coaching leaders, advising project teams, and influencing decisions across internal departments or stakeholder groups.
  • Change management experience with experience in supporting business units in developing and implementing change plans and strategies.

WHAT ADDITIONAL SKILLS ARE AN ASSET

  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • CPHR designation is preferred.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment.
