WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and maintain data pipelines for new and existing sources - be the architect of our data flow!
- Research and integrate cool new technologies into our data ecosystem.
- Optimize our data infrastructure for speed, reliability, and scalability.
- Build reports and dashboards that help teams make smart decisions.
- Implement governance tests to keep our data safe and sound.
- Document processes and share your knowledge with the team.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING
- You’ll need to be eligible to obtain and maintain a RAIC, don’t worry – we’ll help you through this! For more details, check out: RAIC Program and Application Information
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Computer sciences, Data & Analytics, Statistics or related fields. Please note: To qualify as a co-op or internship student, you must be enrolled in a post-secondary program where a work term is a formal requirement of the program and be able to provide documentation to that effect.
- Understanding of foundational statistical and probabilistic concepts
- Functioning knowledge of database modeling and common techniques involving data processing
- Proficient with SQL and Python, knowledge of R and/or Go is a plus
- Working knowledge regarding containers and Git/GitHub
- Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks simultaneously; performs a wide variety of tasks, and change focus quickly as demands change.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
WHAT ADDITIONAL SKILLS ARE AN ASSET
- Knowledge of AWS or any other cloud platform
- Familiarity with any of the following is preferred: Streaming services such as Kafka and Kinesis, DBT, DataHub, REDCap, PowerBI, Tableau
- Bilingual in English and French
