OUR TEAM 
The Development Services Team is responsible for the oversight of tenant development projects that occur at the Calgary International Airport and Springbank Airport.  This includes all tenant improvements that occur on leased land as well as all improvements within the Air Terminal Complex. The teams’ activities range from involvement at the initial feasibility and design stages as well as negotiating with and obtaining approvals from outside agencies to the monitoring and coordinating of construction as well as obtaining final acceptance of the project along with the acquisition of final project documentation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Under the supervision of the General Manager, Development Services, you will work closely with the Development Services Team and internal stakeholders, providing administrative support as it relates to documentation and process transformation for the Construction and Installation Permit review project. This role will be responsible for supporting process transformation initiatives along with updating organizational training materials, preparing risk management assessments, and contributing to the project reporting by tracking project progression and assessing results. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 
  • Working in consultation with subject matter experts and following the CIP Transformation Roadmap initiatives, execute on five key areas of process transformation including  Governance, Tools & Technology, Process Design, Service Delivery and Risk management.
  • Review and update documents including standards, manuals, flowcharts, guides, and project tracking records for our third-party project construction processes.
  • Compile important documentation to define new standardized sub-processes for third-party project reviews while ensuring consistency, continuity, and accuracy amongst process governing documentation.
  • Work with Development Services team to identify and collect data on third-party projects.   
  • Develop a new reporting dashboard that measures key performance indicators (KPI’s) on third-party projects.
  • Assist the team with Change Management initiatives. 
  • Organize weekly project update meetings and track project progression through updates to project schedule. 
  • Work with internal stakeholders for data collection and process improvements.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of departmental documentation.
  • Provide administrative support and other duties as required.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Highly enthusiastic individual that can take the initiative and effectively collaborate with multiple partners.
  • Pursuing a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Technical Writing, Communications, or a similar discipline.
  • Ability to ensure high quality results and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop is an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team as well as individually.
  • Strong organizational skills as well as excellent written communication skills.

  • To qualify as a co-op or internship student, you must be enrolled in a co-op program through an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a restricted area identification card (RAIC).
  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work model with a combination of onsite and remote work.
