OUR TEAM

Our Terminal Construction and Civil Construction teams are always on the go and work very closely with many internal and external stakeholders to ensure the continuous development and improvement of our international airport.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Under the supervision of the General Manager Civil Construction, you will work closely with a variety of Project Managers within the Construction team. In our dynamic airport environment, you will enhance your project management, time management and organizational skills with many projects underway to restore and expand the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 
  • Participate in various project tasks including; completing meeting minutes, filing data, drafting sketches, conducting field reports, partaking in site visits, and assisting with schedule reviews. 
  • Assist with a variety of projects including pavement and parkade restoration and several airfield projects. 
  • Participate in project meetings and site inspections
  • Provide general office and site support
  • Coordinate and communicate operational impacts to the airfield
  • Facilitate Pavement Management Systems coordination

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Currently enrolled in your third year of Engineering at an accredited post-secondary institution. 
  • Ability to work effectively with a team as well as individually
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism when communicating with a variety of stakeholders
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License or equivalent to obtain an Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong commitment to safety

WHAT ELSE?
  • Must be returning to a post-secondary educational institution in the fall to qualify for this position. 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a restricted area identification card (RAIC)
  • Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as approved by Health Canada
  • To qualify as a co-op or internship student, you must be enrolled in a co-op program through an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work model with a combination of onsite and remote work.
  • This role is considered safety sensitive and will require a pre-employment drug and alcohol test through a third-party
