OUR TEAM
Our Airside Operations team is passionate about our Airfield, Groundside and Apron Operations. They ensure our campus operates efficiently and effectively. Analytics can help us transform by capturing the data, studying it, and telling its story to provide new opportunities for operational efficiencies.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Reporting to the Manager, Ground Operations, you will provide administrative support in analytics focused on incident reporting. This role provides you the opportunity to gain work experience in airport data analytics focused on operational needs translation and develop a basic understanding of bridging the gap between the ground operations team and business stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Assist to develop an analytical framework for our current Incident reporting system (CAIRS), with a focus on all ground operations incidents, by identifying data sources and verifying the data is available for use.
- Apply qualitative & quantitative research principles to establish trends and develop a story line -- providing insights into the operation at YYC for review and assessment of continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensure the integration and alignment of data sources and outputs for ground operations incidents to ensure consistency in reporting.
- Liaise with and gather information from our Airport Operational Partners for various projects.
- Prepare reports and presentations for communicating findings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and edit documentation as required.

- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data & Analytics, Operations Management, or Aviation Management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Inquisitive mindset and keen curiosity
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills

- To qualify as a summer student, you must be enrolled in and returning to a post-secondary institution following your work term
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a restricted area identification card (RAIC)
