OUR TEAM

Our IT team works hard to maintain the physical technology infrastructure and operations that ensure our airport operates efficiently and effectively. This team of high performers connects our people and technology to deliver seamless IT operations every day.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Reporting to the General Manager, Technical Infrastructure, you will assist the technical IT infrastructure team with daily operations. Working closely with other members of the Technical Infrastructure team, you will experience the real-life impact of technology infrastructure (networks, servers, etc.) and gain an understanding of how IT teams’ function in a corporate setting. Daily tasks are extensive and may include many exciting projects, with many opportunities to experience the true essence of working in an aviation industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Assisting the team with server virtualization and administration, data protection (backups), user workstation support, wireless networking, radio systems, and data centers.
- Participating in incident resolution and service request fulfillment.
- Supporting Cybersecurity initiatives and programs.
- Creating and updating technical documentation.
- Participating in operational meetings and strategic planning sessions.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution with a focus in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Being proactive and taking initiative.
- High level of accuracy and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Highly organized.
- A passion for building and maintaining good working relationships.
- Ability to work as part of a high functioning team and communicate effectively with others.
WHAT ELSE?
- Preference will be given to students enrolled in their final or penultimate year of study.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a restricted area identification card (RAIC)
- To qualify as a summer student, you must be enrolled in and returning to a post-secondary institution following your work term.
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work model with a combination of onsite and remote work.
