THE TEAM
The Commercial Services team is responsible for leading and developing the commercial landscape at YYC. This means the oversight of multiple business lines, including Parking, Ground Transportation, Rental Cars, Retail, Terminal space, sponsorship, advertising and commercial marketing at one of Canada’s busiest airports. A diverse group with a passion for delivering on the guest needs, this team is at the forefront of commercial trends, and is focused on building a holistic guest experience. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Reporting to the General Manager, Commercial and Retail Development, you will oversee and administer commercial services leasing, licensing, and agreement process. In addition, you will coordinate day-to-day commercial management initiatives, and manage the revenue management system (Prop works). Provide ongoing support and coordination to the Senior Director, Commercial Services and team of Commercial Services through the ongoing coordination of departmental activities, plans and initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 
  • Oversee all commercial contracts administration, approvals, and tracking. Process leases, licenses, and agreements for the commercial services team, oversee the approval process for all agreements and management of agreement terms in all systems (Prop works, etc.)
  • Implement continuous improvement in approval processes, documentation, and workflow, and manage annual insurance update requirements
  • Be the business owner on Prop works (revenue management system) ensuring all contracts are stored and managed ongoing, lease expiries are managed, and that contacts, companies and billing are updated and managed.
  • Support the commercial team with various administrative tasks. Organize team meetings, team building initiatives and team outings, draft notice letters, flight schedules and tactical partner communications.
  • Support administrative requirements for team member onboarding
  • Oversee the implementation of various initiatives for the commercial services team

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Experience required working with contracts, and agreements 
  • Revenue management / property management systems experience preferred
  • Paralegal or property management experience would be considered an asset
  • Detail orientated, and a thorough approach to problem solving, along with the ability to multi-task through multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Readiness to become a subject matter expert on existing platforms, which include Prop works (Revenue) and Oracle (ERP) and provide training to others
  • Highly proficient at Microsoft Office, including outlook, excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write, edit and proof-read various documents effectively
  • Highly organized and able to clearly communicate with key stakeholders
  • Experience in managing and implementing projects or initiatives
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Analytical and reporting skills preferred
  • Strong execution skills – getting things done


WHAT ELSE?
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a restricted area identification card (RAIC)
  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work model with a combination of in-office and remote work.
